Dan Apgar was recently discussing Digital Photography's impact on the way he takes pictures. "It has completely revolutionized the way that I take pictures. There is very little cost associated with taking that extra shot or trying different angles and lighting. The result is better and more dramatic photos."
Dan has been exploring photography for the past 20 years. He recently teamed up with Edmonson Studios, and has been assisting with their wedding photography.
"I enjoy shooting candid photographs. I like to fade into the background and look for that special look, and that genuine emotion that people only show when the camera isn't looking. Weddings are a great environment."
About the picture :
The picture to the left means a lot to me. When my wife and I got engaged, my wife and David Edmonson talked me into doing my wife's Bridal Portraits on our honeymoon in Hawaii.
Michelle and I took a morning and went down to one of the black sand beaches on Hawaii's Big Island. We had a great time taking her photos. One of the people on the beach offered to take a couple pictures of us together. I told him that I wanted him to take some pictures of us walking in the surf. After a bit of cropping and editing we ended up with this picture, and it is one of our favorites. And with bit of the Photoshop cloning tool, I have a full head of hair again.
Michelle and I have a 16x20 canvas of this photo in our dining room. We are constantly getting compliments on it.
