2006 Barbara Jordan Media Awards
I had the opportunity to photograph the 2006 Barbara Jordan Media Awards on April 27th. This was a tremendously inspiring event. The Awards are to honor members of the media, who have highlighted individuals with disabilities, or have done features which raise awareness of people with disabilities.
It was a pleasure to meet the award winners and presenters. Jody Dean and Tracy Rowlett, both of CBS 11 in Dallas, MC'd and keynoted the Awards. But the real inspirations were the attendees of the awards. Most of people, about which the stories were done, attended the awards. Talk about a group to be honored.
